Our Favorites

Haleiwa Joe's Seafood Grill - With fresh seafood flown in daily straight from Hawaii, Haleiwa Joe's boasts one of the desert's finest Pacific island menus. This renowned dining spot is located at the edge of Rancho Mirage in the former Chart House, one of the city's architectural landmarks. Haleiwa Joe's stylish bar is great for early evening lounging, and often has half price appetizers. We suggest that you arrive early and grab a booth in the bar. Good food and prices for early birds.

Morton's, The Steakhouse - Morton's offers a Chicago aesthetic in the heart of the desert. Founded in the Windy City in 1978, this high-end steakhouse franchise is famous for its vintage Chicago atmosphere, generously-sized USDA prime-aged steaks, and fresh (still live huge lobster) seafood. Because of its great reputation and uncompromising menu, Morton's, located in Palm Desert, can be pricey, but it's worth it. Right across from the Marriot's Hotel.

El Gallito Restaurant - Often cited as the area's most authentic Southwest dining spot, El Gallito is an older restaurant in Cathedral City where every dish is made from scratch to perfection. The small diner's bright, inviting atmosphere, large portions, and great service complete the package, making El Gallito an essential stop those in search of the true Southwest meal. Bring cash as your plastic won't work here, and reservations?...I don't think so!

Hibachi Japanese Steakhouse - Hibachi is a family-run restaurant in Rancho Mirage, offering some of the area's finest Japanese beef dishes, and an authentic sushi bar run by two brothers. Here you can watch the cooks prepare tasty items like ceviche tuna sashami, flash flame cooked spicy shrimp, and hamchi tartare. Hibachi promises a delicious and memorable dining experience. Don't miss the sushi bar, possibly some of the freshest sushi in the desert.
